NAME: Cabernet Sauvignon Veneto "Le Ghiaie" I.G.T. Barricato
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5%
GRAPE VARIETY: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot
AREA PRODUCED: Renowned area of Arcole D.O.C., characterized by soil of volcanic origin, mainly composed of clay
HARVEST: in early October, through a selection of the best clusters of grapes
TECHNIQUE: after the grapes have been lightly pressed, the must is left to ferment in steel tanks, together with the grape skins, for around 4-5 days at a controlled temperature of between 20-24°C. The wine is then aged in French oak casks for a period of at least 12 months
TYPE: Dry wine with an intense ruby red colour tending towards garnet. Delicate vanilla aromas are complemented by the intense perfumes of wild plums and blueberry typical of this wine. Dry, full-bodied and particularly structured in the mouth
FOOD PAIRINGS: a perfect accompaniment to grilled or roast meats, red meat in general and mature cheeses
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18°C
