The wine produced from this grape variety is characterized for having a ruby red with marked purple hues, intense aroma and fruity; the taste is soft and sweet. Mainly in four areas spread: Puglia, Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany, where it finds its consecration on the Island of Elba, Capraia and Grosseto.
