Questo racchiude un assemblaggio, in percentuali diverse, di Sangiovese e Pinot Nero, al fine di rispecchiare al meglio l’identità territoriale dei vini del Castello di Ama. Il Pinot Nero fu impiantato nel 1984 sulle pendici della vallata San Lorenzo per una superficie complessiva di 4.15 ettari con cloni provenienti dalla Borgogna. La forma di allevamento a Lira Aperta ed il terreno ad alta percentuale calcarea di alberese e galestro permettono a questa varietà di raggiungere la perfetta maturazione.
