Venduto da Winezon Il Carmenére è un vitigno originario del bordolese, confuso per lungo tempo con il Cabernet franc. Pur avendo dei tratti organolettici in comune, è un vitigno assai diverso: molto più intenso e speziato. Ca' del Bosco ha conferito nel 1996 l'incarico alla Facoltà di Agraria dell'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza di svelarne l'esistenza, l'origine e l'identità.
